There are several new features, technologies, and elements expected with the upcoming 2024 BMW X5. Let’s run down what we know so far:

• The plug-in hybrid drive in the 2024 X5 xDrive50e offers more power and a better purely electric range than the previous models.
• The introduction of the 48V mild-hybrid technology to the V8 engine is expected to deliver more power, performance, and refinement.
• New advanced systems for automated parking and driving in Redmond
• The latest-generation iDrive control system with the BMW Operating System 8 and BMW Curved Display
• The signature BMW headlights and kidney grille get a new design, with outlines showing the headlight units are about 35 millimeters narrower. The arrow-shaped daytime driving lights point outwards that will also serve as turn signal indicators.

The illuminated BMW kidney grille is a first-time option on BMW X5 xDrive50e, X5 sDrive 40i, and X5 xDrive40i models. The illuminated gets activated when a door opens but can be switched on or off manually by the driver using the iDrive menu. Additional newly designed features include air breathers and LED rear lights with an X motif.
